Seeing a Windows warning?
V1.0.0 is not digitally signed. SmartScreen may display “Windows protected your PC” and “Unknown publisher”. This message concerns the file’s reputation; by itself, it is not a virus detection.
- Download from ironmonanalyzer.com. Our file is served by downloads.ironmonanalyzer.com.
- Check the filename IronMON-Analyzer-Setup-1.0.0.exe and, if needed, its checksum below.
- If you trust this source and choose to continue, select More info, then Run anyway. The second button may already be visible.
Keep SmartScreen and your antivirus enabled. If a specific threat is detected or the file’s source is uncertain, stop installation and contact the project.
Understanding SmartScreen · Microsoft ↗Verify my file using its SHA-256 checksum
A checksum lets you check that your copy matches the published file. In PowerShell, run this command with the actual path to your download:
Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 "PATH_TO_YOUR_FILE.exe"
Compare the result with the official checksum in the release notes: all 64 characters must match. A suffix such as “(1)” added to the filename by your browser does not change the checksum.
If the values differ, do not run that file. A matching checksum confirms that it matches our published release, not an absolute guarantee of safety.
01 / INSTALLATIONFrom game setup to Analyzer
IronMON Analyzer reads information exported by the tracker. It does not read the ROM directly or alter the game.
01Install the tools
Install the prerequisites listed by BizHawk, then BizHawk. Open and close the emulator once. For randomization, install Randomizer ZX and the 64-bit Java required by that version. Restart Windows if an installer asks you to.
Official BizHawk ↗Official Randomizer ZX ↗02Prepare your game copy
Use a legally obtained game copy and check that it starts. If your IronMON format requires a separate patch, apply a patch whose source and usage terms you have checked to a compatible game version, then test the result. Do not share either the original or patched game file.
Browser-based patching tool ↗03Set up the tracker
Install NDS IronMON Tracker, keep “Ironmon-Tracker.lua” with its “ironmon_tracker” folder, then load the script through Tools → Lua Console in BizHawk.
Download the tracker ↗Official instructions ↗04Configure quick load
In the tracker's settings, set the ROM path, Randomizer ZX program, and settings file for your game and difficulty. Configure controls and favorites according to your format's rules.
05Save, then randomize
The first game launch may be unrandomized. Set your desired battle style, save in game before choosing a starter, then use the tracker's configured restart shortcut. Confirm that the starters changed before playing.
06Connect Analyzer to the tracker
Launch Analyzer and open Settings → Connect my tracker. If several copies are found, choose the one used in BizHawk. If none are found, click Choose the tracker file… and select Ironmon-Tracker.lua. Close and restart BizHawk, then reload that Lua script. Choose your Pokémon, check the Tracker connected indicator, and compare the Pokédex with the tracker. Setup is needed once per tracker copy; subsequent connections are automatic. Setup preserves a backup of the original tracker file.
For French HGSS Kaizo, use only the patch and settings file intended for that game version and difficulty; exact filenames depend on your rule set. Check the source and usage rights of every archive and patch. This site provides no game, patch, BIOS, or firmware files and links to no game downloads.
02 / FIRST LAUNCHMake sure everything is connected
- Open the game and tracker. Wait for the current Pokémon to appear in the tracker.
- Open IronMON Analyzer. In Settings → Connect my tracker, start setup. If the tracker is not found, choose Ironmon-Tracker.lua. If several copies exist, choose the one used in BizHawk. Restart BizHawk and reload the script. The status indicator at the top right should show that the tracker is connected.
- Compare the Pokémon, level, and moves in the Pokédex with the tracker.
- In Settings → Game selection, leave Automatic enabled if you want the tracker to choose between HGSS, Platinum, and Black 2 / White 2. Manual mode lets you inspect a particular pack.
- Choose your difficulty in Settings and apply it before starting the run you want to record.
03 / DURING A RUNKey actions
The guided tutorial points to these controls in the app on first launch. You can reopen it with the “?” button.
↔ PIVOTChange your main Pokémon
Click Pivot before the new Pokémon replaces your main one in the tracker. Analyzer then waits for the next different Pokémon and keeps it in the same run. An HM helper does not automatically become your main Pokémon.
⇄ GAMESwitch game versions
Save in game. Update the ROM and settings file in the tracker's quick-load settings for the new game, then restart the game and tracker. In Automatic mode, Analyzer recognizes the new export; if no run exists yet, choose your Pokémon before expecting the pack to switch. Each game keeps its run and timer. Do not end the run just to switch games.
↺ RESUMEResume a saved game
Load the already-randomized ROM associated with your save. Do not randomize again when resuming the run: doing so would change its seed and stats.
◇ BADGESTrack progress
Badges are detected when the tracker sends valid data. The “−” and “+” buttons let you correct the count if needed. Earned Monaris rewards are added to your booster reserve.
# RUNSCorrect the run counter
In the Hall of Fame, each game has its own counter. Use “−” or “+”, or enter the correct number and click Save. You can do this while the tracker is offline; it does not delete past runs.
★ ENDArchive the result
Use End run to record a defeat, reset, or victory. The Hall of Fame groups archives by game and difficulty; you can edit their details later.
04 / RESETStart a new seed without confusing it with resuming
After a loss, first end the run in Analyzer. The tracker's reset shortcut creates a new randomized ROM; it is not how you resume an active run.
CASE 1 · STARTING SAVEYou have not saved later
Your save is still in front of the starter Poké Balls. Use the reset shortcut configured in the tracker. The newly randomized ROM uses the same name; the game can restart from that starting save. Check the new starters before playing.
CASE 2 · LATER SAVEYou saved during the adventure
Before resetting, copy your current save file to an archive folder. Then remove the active copy from BizHawk/NDS/SaveRAM/ and, if you kept one, restore your save made in front of the Poké Balls there. Now run the reset. Without that starting copy, you will need to replay the introduction.
French HGSS Kaizo tip: immediately after your first save in front of the Poké Balls, keep a separate copy of its *.SaveRAM file. The exact filename depends on the generated ROM; check which file belongs to your game. To continue the same run after closing BizHawk, load its already-randomized ROM and matching save without resetting.
05 / TROUBLESHOOTINGWhen the screen does not match the game
Analyzer says “Tracker offline”
Check that the game is running and that the tracker window shows the Pokémon and its stats. Then check Settings → Connect my tracker and the selected tracker copy. Restart the tracker if its export has stopped updating.
The wrong game or Pokémon appears
Compare the game and tracker first, then check Settings → Game selection. Check the ROM and settings file in the tracker's quick-load configuration, then restart the game and script. In Automatic mode, a recent identified export changes packs; with no active run yet, wait until you have chosen the starter Pokémon.
The timer stays paused
The timer advances only while the run is active and the tracker sends recent data for the selected game. Check the connection indicator and selected game before manually correcting an archived duration.
The IV estimate is unavailable
It is an estimate, not a reading of exact IVs. If the reference stats no longer match the Pokémon being tracked, Analyzer leaves the estimate unavailable instead of showing a misleading value.
An expected booster is missing
Check that the badge was recorded for the correct run and game. Then open Monaris → My boosters. If you corrected the badge count manually, inspect the displayed progress before continuing the run.
06 / DATAKeep your runs safe
Runs, preferences, and acquired cards are stored locally on your PC, outside the app's installation folder. An update should preserve them.
Before moving to another PC or reinstalling, back up your profile and verify that it can be restored. Test a restoration using a copy of your personal data.
